In Africa Arts we’ll use the book Calabash Cat to study the geometric design, and the simplification & stylization of natural form characteristic of African art. The workshop will include photos and examples of African art, too. We will make animal sculptures in modeling clay, study geometric embellishment of form and make masks of African animals.
