3. Glaze Our Pottery ! We will glaze all the pottery that we’ve made with shiny, bright colors. Adventures in Art will fire the pottery and bring it back to school the following week so students can take their finished work home.
Pottery at Stanley British Primary

We’ll use real clay & glazes to make clay creations. We’ll learn about making pitch pots, coil pots, working with clay slabs and more to create pottery that we glaze in lots of bright colors. Adventures in Art will fire the pottery in a kiln and bring it back to school so students can take their finished work home. In our last class we'll use paint in a rainbow of colors to finish pre-made pottery.  (grades K-5)

4. Mug We’ll use slabs to make and decorate mugs with big handles.

5. Elephant We’ll turn coil pots into elephants with trunks, big ears and tails.
1. People Pot We’ll turn pinch pots upside down to make people with hats.
7. Painted Pottery We’ll use acrylic paints to finish pre-made pottery (bisque), like this dragon, in a rainbow of colors.This project is for decorative use only and can go home on the day that we paint it.
2. Penguins We’ll combine pinch pots to make penguins  with webbed feet and bright beaks

2. Horse We’ll use our imaginations to make a horse.
3. Glaze Our Pottery In our third class we will finish the pottery that we’ve made with bright, shinny glazes. Adventures in Art will fire the pottery and bring it back to school the next week so students can take their pottery home.
4. Fish dish We’ll make a plate in the shape of a fish.
5. Bird bowl We’ll make bird bowls with wings and bright beaks.
6. Glaze Our Pottery In our sixth class we will finish the pottery that we’ve made with bright, shinny glazes. Adventures in Art will fire the pottery and bring it back to school the next week so students can take their work home.
1. Cat We’ll make clay cats with big paws, big ears and whiskers.
7&8 Masks In our seventh class we will drape clay slabs over molds to make masks. In our eighth, (last) class we’ll finish our masks with paint in a rainbow of colors, sparkles and glitter. Our masks can go home on the day that we paint them.
