We’ll use real clay & glazes to make clay creations. We’ll learn about making pitch pots, coil pots, working with clay slabs and more to create pottery that we glaze in lots of bright colors. Adventures in Art will fire the pottery in a kiln and bring it back to school so students can take their finished work home. In our last class we'll use paint in a rainbow of colors to finish pre-made pottery. ( K-3rd )

1. Animal pot An imaginary animal’s face in clay.
4. Rabbit We’ll turn pinch pots into rabbits with big ears, fun faces and tails.
2. Food plate We’ll make a plate of our favorite food, like this strawberry plate.
5. Decorated cup A cup decorated with big shapes of color.
7. Turtle Our turtles will have patterned shells, webbed feet and fun faces.
8. Dog Make your favorite dog in clay.
10. Painted pottery We’ll finish pre-made pottery like this dragon with paint in a rainbow of colors. Our pottery can go home on the day that we paint it with the pottery that we glazed in class the previous week.
7. Dolphin Our dolphin will have a big nose and tail.

10 & 11 Monster pot In our tenth class we will turn pinch pots into monsters with lots of fun features. In our last class we’ll finish our monsters with glossy paints, sparkles and glitter. Our monsters can go home on the day that we paint them.
