In Bromwell Pottery students will get hands on experience with the magical medium of clay. We will explore many aspects of pottery-making: hand-building, coil-building, slab-building, decorating and glazing. Students will bring home many fired pieces during the workshop. All tools, clay, glazes and firings are included. ( K-5 )


Class day & time: Tuesday • 3:15 - 4:15

Class dates: 12/2, 12/9, 12/16, 1/6, 1/13,1/20, 1/27, 2/3 , 2/10, 2/17 (no class 12/23, 12/30)

3. Glaze our pottery We will glaze the pottery that we’ve made with bright, shiny colors. Adventures in Art will fire the pottery and bring it back to school the next week so students can take their finished work home.

10. Painted pottery We’ll finish pre-made pottery like this dragon with paint in a rainbow of colors. Our pottery can go home on the day that we paint it with the pottery that we glazed in class the previous week.
7. Coil pot We will make bowls with coils.
4. Animal pot We’ll make an imaginary animal’s face in clay.
5. Pumpkins Our pumpkins will have lids and carved faces.
8. Cat dish A dish with a cat face.

1. Turtles We’ll turn pinch pots into turtles that we decorate with cookie cutter shapes.
2. Coil pot We will make bowls with coils.
4. Shark Our shark will have a big fin and tail.
7. Polar bear A bear with big paws.

8. House A house with a roof, a door and a chimney.
