3. Glaze Our Pottery In our third class we will finish the pottery that we’ve made with bright, shiny glazes. Adventures in Art will fire the pottery and bring it back to school the next week so students can take their pottery home.

11 & 12. Monsters In our eleventh class we’ll make monsters with lots of fun features. In our last class we will finish our monsters with paint in a rainbow of colors, sparkles and glitter. Our monsters can go home on the day that we paint them.

We’ll use real clay & glazes to make Clay Critters. We’ll learn about coil pots, pinch pots, and working with clay slabs to create pottery that we glaze in lots of bright colors. Adventures in Art will fire the pottery\and bring it back to school so students can take their work home. In our last class we'll use paint in a rainbow of colors to finish pre-made pottery.  (K-5)



Day & time: Tuesdays • 3:00-4:00

Class dates: 2/5, 2/12, 2/26; 3/12, 3/19, 4/2, 4/9, 4/26, 4/23, 4/30, 5/7, 5/14 (no class 2/19, 3/5, 3/26)

1. Dog We’ll make pottery dogs.
2. Pegasus Each pegasus will have big wings.
4. Rabbit We’ll turn pinch pots upside down and make rabbits with big ears.
5. Decorated Mug Our mugs will be decorated with big shapes of bright color.
8. Panda We’ll make pandas in black and white.
7. Octopus We will make an octopus and put it in the ocean.
9. Turtle Our turtles will have patterned shells, fun faces and webbed feet.

Fall 2018 classes

5. Pumpkin covered jar We’ll carve faces on pumpkins with lids.
4. Dragon We’ll use our imaginations to make dragons with lots of fun features.
6. Glaze Our Pottery In our sixth class we will finish the pottery that we’ve made with bright, shiny glazes. Adventures in Art will fire the pottery and bring it back to school the next week so students can take their work home.
7. Leopard We’ll create a leopard and glaze it with spots.

8. Houses We’ll make houses with chimneys, doors, windows and more.
9. Holiday plate We’ll turn clay slabs into holiday plates that we decorate with cookie cutter shapes and lots of bright colors.
11 & 12. Painted Pottery We will create holiday ornaments  in lots of shapes and sizes. In our last class we will use acrylic paints in lots of bright colors to finish our holiday pottery with glitter and ribbons. Our ornaments can go home on the day that we paint them.
